PVC Tube Fitting Coupling 1/2 Barbed Gray Schedule 40

The Spears 1429 series tube fitting is a gray polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic coupler used to connect schedule 40 polyethylene (PE) pipe in a straight run. This particular coupler features barbed fittings on each end, which create a secure seal on flexible PE pipe when used with a hose clamp (clamps are sold separately). PVC is known for its corrosion resistance and high strength, making it resistant to reactions with acids, gasoline, alcohol, and hydrocarbons. The fitting meets ASTM International's D 2609 standards for plastic insert fittings used with PE pipe and also complies with ASTM schedule 40 standards for wall thickness to support working pressure up to 140 psi.
