The Spears 1407 series tube fitting is a 90-degree elbow made of gray polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic. It is designed for connecting schedule 40 polyethylene (PE) pipe to threaded pipe that adheres to the National Pipe Thread (NPT) standard at an angle. This elbow features a barbed fitting on one end for creating a tight seal on flexible PE pipe when paired with a hose clamp (sold separately). On the other end, it has a female NPT connector for connecting to threaded pipe. PVC is known for its corrosion resistance and high strength, and it is resistant to reactions with acids, gasoline, alcohol, and hydrocarbons.
