463 Series PVC Snap-On Saddle, 1-1/2 IPS OD x 1-1/2 Socket

This snap-on saddle pipe fitting from Spears is designed to create a branch connection on a pipe. Made of schedule 40 PVC, it features an IPS saddle fitting with a socket end for the branch connection. The one-piece design pushes onto the pipe and is secured with adhesive (not included), creating a branch connection with one outlet. The Iron Pipe Size (IPS) saddle snaps on over a hole drilled into the pipe to create the new outlet. The branch outlet has a female socket connection for sliding over the end of a male pipe or fitting, providing a smooth bore for enhanced flow.

Constructed from PVC (polyvinyl chloride), this schedule 40 fitting offers corrosion resistance, high strength, and less weight than metal fittings. It is compatible with schedule 40 PVC pipes and fittings and can be connected to other materials such as steel, copper, or cast iron using transition fittings. The smooth interior finish reduces friction and inhibits buildup of materials, providing superior flow compared to metal.

This fitting complies with NSF/ANSI 61 Annex G, NSF/ANSI 372, and meets lead content requirements for “lead free” plumbing as defined by state laws and the U.S. Safe Drinking Water Act.
