The Swing check valves are designed for horizontal installations but may be installed in an up-flow only vertical position. It is important to install the check valves with the FLOW arrow pointing in the direction of the flow and to avoid installing the valve upside down. Flow velocity should not exceed 5 ft.sec and the minimum opening pressure should be less than 0.5 psi.
